The exchange of Zn 2+ , Cd 2+ and Hg 2+ with zeolite NaX has been studied. The influence of the above cations on crystalline structure of zeolite X and its thermal stability has been shown on the grounds of X‐ray diffraction, differential thermal analysis and infrared spectroscopic measurements.
