The structure of an 1M‐lepidolite from Wakefield (Canada) has been investigated by X‐ray diffraction structure analysis. The refined atomic coordinates and occupation factors indicate an ordered distribution of the octahedrally coordinated cations. The structure has the space group C 2. The tetrahedra do not show any remarkable ordering of their central cations. Octahedral flattening is characterized by a mean octahedral angle of 58.66°. The tetrahedral rotation angle is equal to 5.9°.
