A thermodynamic analysis of the aluminium solubility process in silicon carbide has been carried out taking account of the electron‐hole interaction. The partial mole heat of aluminium dissolving in SiC was determined on the basis of the thermodynamic analysis of the interaction process in the system SiC–Al, on the dependence of aluminium solubility in SiC on the temperature as well as on the calculation of the Fermi level and other parameters.
