Molybdate content crystals are developed from different phase compositions such as Li 2 O–MoO 3 , Cs 2 MoO 4 –MoO 3 , and Na 2 O–MoO 3 . From room temperature to 10 K, the luminescence and scintillation properties of the grown crystals are studied under the excitations of a 280 nm light emitting diode and a 90 Sr beta source. Among the newly grown crystals, Na 2 Mo 2 O 7 crystal has the highest luminescence and scintillation light yield. At 10 K, the absolute light yield of Na 2 Mo 2 O 7 is ≈1350 ph/MeV.
