Three‐dimensional metal zinc (Zn) with the shapes of like‐flower, like‐grass, and like‐urchin are successfully prepared by a convenient method that replaced zinc cations (Zn 2+ ) with metal magnesium (Mg) plate at room temperature. The as‐prepared microstructures are investigated by X‐ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The morphology of Zn microstructures is affected by both solvents and anions. The conditions of the self‐assembly of variable shapes are clarified. The formation mechanism of various microstructures is also deduced in detail. The method herein is advantageous in convenience, low cost, and environmental benignity.
