Large‐scale sheet‐like nickel telluride (NiTe) nanocrystals in situ grown on nickel foam with three‐dimensional network structure were successfully synthesized by reacting elemental nickel with tellurium powder. The reaction was conducted via a facile solvothermal method in a mixed solvent composed of 1 mL ethylenediamine and 15 mL ethylene glycol at 170°C for 24 h. The growth process and the possible formation mechanism were discussed based on the intermediate products obtained at different reaction stages including different reaction times and temperatures. When the as‐synthesized NiTe nanosheets were employed as anode materials for lithium‐ion batteries, this work enriches the electrode materials for energy materials, and can serve as a good reference for the fabrication of desired materials.
