Phosphor material BaAl 2 O 4 :Eu 2+ , Cr 3+ with varying concentrations of Cr co‐doping were prepared by solid‐state synthesis method. Crystalline fibres were obtained by controlled annealing temperature. Synthesized compositions were characterized for their phase and crystallinity by powder x‐ray diffraction. The crystalline morphology was investigated using SEM analysis. High resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) in image and diffraction modes was used to investigate the microstructure.
