The growth of cholesterol crystals in gel medium in the presence of some bioactive compounds like extract of cassia fistula Linn (CF) have shown changes in the rate of nucleation, morphology and numbers of crystals with respect to control and treatment. The study reveals that CF material can be used as a potent inhibitor of cholesterol crystals. These crystals were characterized by X‐ray and IR for structural determination.
