Cadmium sulphide crystals (zinc blende) are grown by PVT technique and characterized for crystalline, optical and thermal properties. Thermal expansion is measured by Fizeau's method and compared with the molecular dynamics simulation results as some anomalies are reported for thermal expansion in literature.
