The chemical composition of Bi 1‐ x Sb x alloys is determined by means of square‐wave polarography, density measurements, measurements of the electron backscatter coefficient, and electron probe microanalysis. These experimental methods are discussed with respect to their results. At 10 keV, the electron probe microanalysis allows the determination of any antimony concentration without corrections ( c Sb = k Sb ).
