Angular distribution measurements of annihilation photons were performed on seven different TiZr alloys having a Zr content between 0 and 39 at. %. The samples were cold rolled with 80% thickness reduction. Further, the angular correlation peak height was measured during time‐linear heating of deformed samples. The measured results were interpreted assuming positron trapping by the defect‐rich particle‐matrix interfaces of particles of the second phase produced during deformation (polymorphic α‐β transformation).
