The explicit relationship between the ODF f ( g ) and the reduced ODF f̃T ( g ) is given and discussed. For the general case of fibre textures the f̃T ( g ) ↔ f ( g ) problem does not disappear, but in the special case with G A = D ∞ f̃T ( g ) is identical with f ( g ).
