A method is suggested for the determination of crystal‐solution interfacial tension σ on the basis of data obtained when studying the mechanism of a layer‐wise growth of the soluble‐salts crystals. The essential data for calculating the values of σ by this method are the height and distance of the individual steps on the surface of a growing crystal. The values of σ were evaluated for NH 4 H 2 PO 4 , KH 2 PO 4 , CdI 2 and Pb(NO 3 ) 2 .
