This paper gives account of earlier published data on total rates of recrystallization. In the theoretical part, a simple model of recrystallization at oscillating temperature is presented. This model is evaluated for selected special cases. The resulting rate of recrystallization is compared with experimental data obtained in a laboratory double crystallizer.
