Abstract As the result of the crystallization of copper sulfate from waste liquor using commercial scale plant, it became clear that the application of the thermal history of solution was very effective to depress nucleation as expected previously. The optimum setup of crystallizer to recover copper sulfate as perfect as possible was decided by using a new double‐stage vacuum cooling method.
