The determination of Warren's short range order parameters (pair correlations) for substitutional A 1‐x B x C ‐type solid solutions by means of diffuse X‐ray scattering is described. The relations obtained are applied to the diffuse X‐ray scattering of Ga 0.16 Al 0.84 As solid solutions being under different thermal treatment.
