Transport and deposition of silica in different forms: quartz, chalcedony, cristobalite, tridymite and hyalite were investigated between 400‐800°C and 200 to 2000 bar. The conditions of formation of the forms are discussed. The crystallization of quartz whiskers is reported and ideas of the formation of hyalite are given. Conclusions are drawn to natural occurences.
