The haidingerite formula must be written CaAsO 3 (OH) · H 2 O. The calcium coordination number, reported as 6, is shown to be 7 by valence summation. Chains of hydrogen‐bonded arsenate groups are confirmed. The two protons of the water molecule form hydrogen bonds to neighboring chains.
