The distribution of dislocations produced by diamond pyramidic indentation on the (111) surface of CaF 2 was investigated. Some features obtained experimentally were explained theoretically by using the results of the elasticity theory. The possible model of the plastic flow in indentation on the (111) plane of CaF 2 is proposed.
