By age 15, almost one‐third of teens have had at least one drink; by age 18, this goes up to 58%. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that, on average, alcohol is a factor in the deaths of 4,358 young people under age 21 each year, including 1,580 deaths from motor vehicle crashes. These deaths are just the tip of the iceberg relating to young people drinking and driving. What helps?
