This summer, the federal Food and Drug Administration finalized its rule prohibiting retailers from selling e‐cigarettes, hookah tobacco, or cigars to people under 18. For years, it has been illegal under federal law to sell cigarettes and smokeless tobacco to minors. Now the FDA is helping to protect the public, and especially children, from the dangers of all tobacco products.
