Citing mental health disorders as the most common diseases of childhood, the Child Mind Institute (CMI) released its first annual children's mental health report, which found that an estimated 17.1 million young people in the United States have or have had a diagnosable psychiatric disorder, the highest number ever reported. The Child Mind Institute comprises a nonprofit foundation, the Child Mind Institute Inc., and a clinical practice, the Child Mind Medical Practice, PLLC.
