Fewer than 50% of children ages 4 to 17 with attention‐deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) were receiving behavioral therapy in the years before established treatment guidelines were published by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), according to the first national study to look at behavioral therapy, medication and dietary supplements to treat ADHD.
