The Front Cover shows how, upon irradiation, a family of arylated tetrahydronaphtho[2,1‐ a ]azulenes can undergo ring‐opening to form vinylheptafulvene‐like structures. The influence of the electronic character of the aryl group on the rate of ring‐opening and subsequent ultrafast ring‐closure was monitored by UV/Vis absorption spectroscopy. More information can be found in the Article by K. Sonne et al. on page 362 in Issue 4, 2018 (DOI: 10.1002/cptc.201700213).
