In the report on quinine disposition during malaria and during induced fever, which appeared on page 459 of the April, 1976, issue of the J ournal , we inadvertently failed to reference a paper by Elin, Vesell, and Wolff (C lin . P harmacal . T her . 17:447, 1975) who demonstrated retardation of antipyrine metabolism in etiocholanolone fever. Their data are in agreement with our conclusions concerning quinine metabolism during etiocholanolone fever. We hope this information will help to encourage additional studies of drug metabolism and the role of the liver during fever.
