The 10 per cent increase in page allotment, generously made without increase in subscription rate by The C. V. Mosby Company 2 years ago, has been fully used in every issue of this JOURNAL since then. Because the number of desirable papers submitted has been steadily increasing, we were concerned whether we made the best use of the space we have. Accordingly a questionnaire was sent to every fourth name on our list of subscribers asking for views on the “Official literature on new drugs” section which we have published (on tinted pages) for the past 3 years. A large majority of the respondents indicated that they did not think the feature essential, especially since they could now get package stuffers elsewhere, and recommended that the space be given to original contributions. Accordingly the section will be discontinued with the next issue of the JOURNAL.
