6‐Azauridine triacetate, a well‐tolerated antimetabolite, induces fever, erythema, joint pain, stiffness and mental depression in patients with rheumatoid arthritis in doses over 100 mg. per kilogram per day. The symptoms subside several days after discontinuation of the drug.
