Analgesic potency of graded doses of a combination of orphenadrine with the common APe tablet was tested and compared with each of its ingredients and a placebo in a double blind study. The subiects were 325 patients whose pain was largely associated with muscle spasm. Pain responses were scored at 6 hourly intervals after a single administration of medication. The data were analyzed by 3 statistical methods. Results show the combination to have a sustained pain‐relieving action and a statistically significant faster onset of analgesia than either of its components or placebo. Unexpected drug reactions were minimal.
