A notice of a proposal by the Commissioner of Food and Drugs to repeal the tolerances for chlordane and to establish a tolerance of zero for residues of chlordane for each of the raw agricultural commodities named in § 120.122 was published in the FEDERAL REGISTER of December 5, 1963 (28 F.R. 12938). Within the time limit specified in the notice Velsicol Chemical Corp., 330 East Grand Avenue, Chicago, Ill., 61611, requested that the proposal be referred to an advisory committee, in accordance with section 408 (e) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
