The Cover Feature shows supramolecular nanocomposites that comprise gold nanoparticles capped with BODIPY and tryptophan and whose photostability and photophysical properties depend on the chemical structure of the constituent BODIPY units. Ultrafast studies revealed that hot electron transfer from BODIPY to gold nanoparticles resulted in the efficient generation of singlet oxygen upon plasmonic photoexcitation.
