The cover picture shows the crystal structure of a Pd II derivative belonging to a new family of metal complexes supported by meso ‐tetraaryl‐substituted porphyrin ligands. Thermal studies reveal that this compound behaves as a liquid crystal material, exhibiting a columnar mesophase under polarized light. Both the number of terminal alkyl chains and the metal centre play key roles in inducing mesomorphic behaviour. Details are given in the Full Paper by M. Cano, M. G. P. M. S. Neves, C. Lodeiro et al. on page 262 in Issue 3, 2016 (DOI: 10.1002/cplu.201500557).
