Yolk–shell spheres as nanoreactors : Single‐crystalline LiMn 2 O 4 and LiMn 1.5 Ni 0.5 O 4 nanocrystals have been prepared by using yolk–shell spheres as nanoreactors to confine the size of the nanocrystals to a range of 14–19 nm (see scheme). These nanocrystals were subsequently employed as cathode materials and showed high lithium‐ion storage capacities and stable charge–discharge cycling, especially at high current densities.
