The reactivity of (CeO 2 ) m (V 2 O 5 ) n+ clusters falls between those of Ce 2 O 4 + and (V 2 O 5 ) 1–5 + in terms of activation of the C−H bond of CH 4 , and does not change significantly with the increasing cluster size.
