Just relax! T 1 NMR relaxation data in the extreme narrowing regime are presented for the planar asymmetric 3‐methyl‐1 H ‐imidazolium cation of the [Hmim]Br ionic liquid. An analytical procedure employing the relaxation data is reported, yielding the diagonalised rotational diffusion tensor. The eigenvalues of the diffusion tensor represent the rotational diffusion constants, D x , D y and D ⊥ , which serve to describe the reorientational motions of the [Hmim] + cation.
