The infrared spectra of isolated reactive species in the gas phase are studied by IR/UV ion‐dip spectroscopy. The IR‐spectrum of the free allyl radical is observed. The pyrolysis of trifluoromethylphenyl diazirine yields, beside the corresponding carbene, trifluorostyrene as the major product (see figure).
