Supported metal catalysts can produce parahydrogen induced polarization (PHIP) in the products of heterogeneous hydrogenation reactions in the aqueous phase (see figure). ALTADENA polarized signals in the liquid‐phase heterogeneous hydrogenation of alkenes are also demonstrated. These observations can significantly broaden the applications of PHIP effects.
