Under pressure: A new procedure to stabilize mesoporous silica SBA‐15 by surface functionalization is reported. This stabilization leads to a significant increase in the mechanical, thermal and hydrothermal stability (see picture), which has important implications regarding technical applications of materials based on mesoporous silica.
