The vibrational spectra of the yttrium‐doped gold clusters Au 4 Y, Au 5 Y, and Au 6 Y are recorded by using photodissociation techniques and assigned with the aid of DFT calculations. While neutral Au 6 Y possesses a highly fluxional nonplanar C 2 v structure, the anion Au 6 Y − is characterized by a planar cyclic D 6 h form and can be regarded as a σ‐aromatic six‐membered cycle (see picture).
