Returning to the fold : The folding reaction of CO‐bound cytochrome c (CytC‐CO), initiated by the photodissociation of the CO ligand, is investigated by using transient grating (TG) spectroscopy. Detailed folding dynamics for this denaturant‐free environment are obtained by means of quantitative analysis of the TG signal (see picture; U=unfolded, N=folded, Met=methionine).
