The cover picture shows the in‐situ emission spectrum at 1270 nm of singlet oxygen produced by irradiation of original materials based on photosensitizers included in transparent and highly porous silica xerogels. The quantum yields of 1 O 2 production and 1 O 2 lifetimes were compared for different sensitizers using time‐resolved NIR spectroscopy. The singlet oxygen thus produced was actually used for pollutant oxidation at the gas‐solid interface. In their article on page 2344 Cantau et al. analyse the correlation between 1 O 2 emission and pollutant oxidation.
