Surface‐bound redox‐active quinone groups control the density of immobilized ligands on microelectrode arrays coated with self‐assembled monolayers (see picture). The resulting conjugates are characterized by cyclic voltammetry and fluorescence microscopy to determine the density of immobilized ligands on each element of the microelectrode.
