Anyone for TEA? By means of a combined spectroscopic and theoretical study of TEA–[D 6 ]acetone, TEA–CCl 4 , and TEA–CDCl 3 mixtures, the hydrogen bonds formed at the nitrogen site are found to play an important role in the blue shift of the stretching modes of the methylene bond, υ C−H (see figure).
