A novel narrow‐band photocatalyst , BiCu 2 VO 6 , was successfully synthesized by modulating the band structure of the semiconductor. BiCu 2 VO 6 exhibits higher activity for O 2 evolution under visible‐light illumination. The picture shows the incident photon‐to‐current efficiency (IPCE) for a BiCu 2 VO 6 particulate thin‐film electrode (▪).
