Ions in motion : Three different anion motions are possible for the trifluoromethyl sulfonate anion in sodium trifluormethyl sulfonate (NaSO 3 CF 3 ): the CF 3 reorientation, the SO 3 reorientation, and a pseudo‐isotropic reorientation of the complete anion (see picture). Using 17 O, 19 F, and 23 Na solid‐state nuclear magnetic resonance methods, these anion reorientations and the cation dynamics in NaSO 3 CF 3 were studied.
