Nanotubes in electric fields : Electrochemistry of double‐walled carbon nanotubes (DWCNTs; see picture) was studied for the first time. The DWCNT was prepared by pyrolysis of fullerene peapods, C 60 @SWCNTs. Responses to electrochemical doping of outer and inner walls were traced and distinguished by in situ Raman spectroelectrochemistry in the area of radial breathing and tangential displacement modes.
