Skilled human color‐matching experts developed 317 sample pairs that matched to them in daylight (the Bayer sample sets MV68 and AA17 of about 1970). One hundred of these pairs intersect only at three well‐defined wavelengths, near 458 nm, 541 nm, and 611 nm, and thus indicate visualsystem response peaks.
