Light emitting diode (LED) lighting is increasing in popularity because it has many advantages over incandescent lamps such as energy efficiency, robustness, longevity, and good stability over time. The aim of this study was to check the color parameters, efficiency, and effectiveness of LED lamps used for indoor lighting to ensure that the luminaires sampled complied with the labeling requirements. The tests were carried out according to the standard UNE‐EN 13032‐4:2016 by determining the angular distribution of illuminance of the lamps in a photometric laboratory, minimizing the incidence of detection of reflections and stray light, and using the parameters of 15 LED lights collected by inspectors of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs of Castilla la Mancha. The samples were acquired randomly from various commercial establishments. The analysis of the results allowed us to verify that the LED lights complied with the current regulations.
