In this article, two new von Kries based chromatic adaptation transforms are proposed. The numerical optimization procedure adopted for deriving them simultaneously exploits the whole sets of data available and the existing chromatic adaptation transforms. Experimental results report several statistics to prove the effectiveness of our proposals with respect to the state‐of‐the‐art. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Col Res Appl, 2010
