A nanocomposite of polystyrene (PS)‐silicone nanofilaments (SNFs) has been designed. The presented composite material is the first to be reported combining PS with SNFs. The innovative method to control the morphology of the PS was realized by changing the initiator amount and the post‐treatment methods after synthesis. The high surface area achieved by SNFs was further extended with the compositing of PS. Due to the option to change the morphology in a tailor‐made way, the novel composite material has great potential for applications, e.g. in the field of oil/water separation and photocatalysis.
