A strategy utilizing mixed‐lanthanide metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) has been developed for luminescent pH sensing. Due to the protonation‐deprotonation equilibrium of uncoordinated carboxyl groups in ligands upon varying the pH, the mixed‐lanthanide MOFs exhibit significant pH‐dependent luminescence behaviors and prominent pH‐dependent emission color change, enabling them to be promising self‐referencing and colorimetric luminescent pH sensors in biotechnology and biomedicine.
